Lets face it, sometimes we plan a nice big family vacation for the summertime and other years it’s just not happening. Not because we don’t want it to, but we do this skip-a-year thing where last year we took a week long vacation to Tennessee and we live in florida, and this year we just don’t have anything planned. That being said, I’d like to discuss some summertime staycation ideas you and your family may have.
Living in Florida, we have plenty of day trip destinations at hand. That is an affordable way for us to get away from the everyday tasks and at least try to feel like we’re on vacation. We have the beach, theme parks, springs, etc. We can even rent a hotel for the day to use the pool, or go north, south, east or west to all kinds of different places. One good thing is I have an Aunt who lives on the West coast and we live on the East coast, so I can go to her house for the weekend and she can come to our house for the weekend and we don’t have to pay to stay in a hotel.
I’d like to hear ya’ll’s ideas for staycations where you live.. so please leave a comment below.
